Once upon a time, I was an Art Teacher of at-risk youth, photographer of people, and performer of tribal fusion belly dance. Life chugged along and I grew a smart and spunky girl child (who is going into 2nd grade) and strong-willed boy/girl twins (both headed into Preschool). At that point, I became the ringmaster of the Graham Family Circus (a.k.a. a stay-at-home-parent). When not managing organized chaos, I enjoy yoga and aerial dance, lead my oldest daughter’s Girl Scout troop, voraciously devour books and pine for solid sleep. I’m your go-to gal for information dissemination: the PTO website, PTO newsletter, and PTO social media. When you see me around, say hi- I’m not as mean as I look; I’m just quite introverted!

I’m looking forward to working with the PTO board this year. I am hoping to meet many new faces and families along the way. I have a kindergartner and a 2nd grader this year at BMES, so I am slowly starting to understand how this whole elementary school stuff works. Before kids, I graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.B.A. in Finance. I worked in the corporate world for a bit, then entered the relaxing world of massage therapy, and then landed as a stay at home mom with my children. I support the OUR Center with my volunteer time, as well as HOPE for Longmont. I love sunshine, music, the color red, cooking, cheese, reading, art, yoga, camping, hiking, skiing, the Cubs, but mostly, being with my family. If you see me around, come say hi and introduce yourself. I will try to do the same!

I’m honored to be joining the PTO Board this year. Although this is my first year as part of the board, this is our family’s second year at Blue Mountain and 22nd year in Colorado. I was born in Colombia, but raised in Chicago- Go Bears! I have a BA in Philosophy from Northwestern University- where I met my husband. Before venturing into parenthood, I wore many hats from Barista to Project Manager. I was even fortunate enough to host a radio show for my college station, WNUR! These days I can be found working at Blue Mountain as a Paraprofessional, volunteering, or trying to catch up on my knitting, crochet or weaving. My daughter is excited to be entering first grade at BMES and her second year of Girl Scouts. I hope to meet many of you at our PTO meetings throughout the year!

Hello BMES families! I am so excited to join the board this year and look forward to meeting many of you at our events through the year. I have a son in 2nd grade and a younger son in preschool who will start BMES next year. Although I am a stay-at-home mom now, I have worked in the consulting and startup worlds for many years and graduated from the University of Richmond in 1999. Since college I’ve lived in San Diego, Birmingham, Boulder, Sacramento, and now Longmont hopefully for good. I have biked across the country with my husband, traveled as much as possible, and love to get out and do lots of different activities – anything to get out and enjoy our great state!
