President – Olivia DeJana email@example.com
I am excited to serve our community in my second year as PTO President! I have two sons at Blue Mountain – one in Second Grade and one in Preschool. I am a Boulder native, but ventured away from home to attend college at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon where I met my husband, Ryan. Following graduation, I returned home to Colorado and worked for a non-profit in Boulder. After a couple of years, my love for education prompted me to make a change and I decided to spend a year teaching underserved children with AmeriCorps. I then went on to get my Masters in Education from Regis University and taught second grade in Longmont until having my boys. These days, life is busy with family commitments, PTO, and a growing career in commercial real estate, as I recently joined my family’s business. Education remains near and dear to my heart and it has been fun and enlightening to experience education from the parent side of the table!
Vice President of Communications – Wendy Deibert firstname.lastname@example.org
I am so excited to serve as the vice president of communications of the BMES PTO! During the past 5 years, I have enjoyed volunteering in the classroom, being a room parent, chairing the Used Book Exchange and being the parent sponsor of our Math Olympiad teams. I have a son in 4th grade at BMES and a daughter in 7th grade at Altona MS. I earned my BS in Education from Texas A&M University and taught high school math for 8 years. After that, I earned my Masters in Accounting from the University of Colorado and obtained my CPA license. I was a tax accountant until I had my daughter 12 years ago. I have been happily married for 18 years to my husband, Dale. My family keeps busy with volleyball, basketball, soccer, baseball, cross country running, Irish dance, Girls Scouts, skiing, hiking, biking and so much more!
Oversee all fundraising activities, work closely with committee chairs for events that are primarily fundraising in nature, reach out to businesses in the greater Longmont community to secure donations for BMES PTO programs and events, and explore new opportunities to increase BMES PTO income. The Vice President of Fundraising shall serve as the leader of the Fundraising Committee, which will be comprised of committee chairs for all events or fundraising functions, including, but not limited to Turkey Trot, Box tops, Milk Tops, Spirit Nights, Book Fair, and grocery shopping cards.

This is our 5th year at Blue Mountain Elementary after moving to Longmont from Highlands Ranch, Colorado in 2012. I have students in 2nd grade and 5th grade at BMES and a 7th grade student at Altona Middle School. I received my BA in Psychology from CU Boulder and completed the Teacher Licensure program at Metropolitan State College of Denver. Prior to the last 11 years as a homemaker, I worked as a stockbroker for a large brokerage firm. Our family keeps active with football, baseball, swimming, skiing, Cub scouts, Girl scouts, Boy Scouts, Rocky Mountain Christian Church, family, friends and the Colorado outdoors. This will be my 3rd year serving as secretary on the BMES PTO board.

I have been a Blue Mountain parent for five years and this is my second year on the BMES PTO Board. I have a daughter in 2nd grade at BMES and a Lynx graduate son in 6th grade at Westview Middle School. I’m a native New Yorker, with the accent to match, and hold a B.S. from Guilford College in North Carolina in Management and Sport Management, a M.S. in Sport Management from Georgia Southern University, and a M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. Prior to being an unpaid domestic servant and child wrangler, I was an account director in New York City advertising agencies, where I also met my advertising creative director husband, Allen. I play a lot of tennis around Boulder County and my family is constantly in the mighty van going to play rehearsals, ski school, chess club, swim lessons, softball games, the mountains, or the airport for frequent trips to NYC to satisfy our very strong Broadway cravings!
